- About LEAF
LEAF was developed at the Univesity of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1996 by Dr. Susan McRoy and Alfredo Liu-Perez.
LEAF stands for Layman Education and Activation Form. It consists of a
medical history form that customizes itself and the information it
provides.
The medical history form gathers information from the user, which it uses
to create a user model. This user model is used to dynamically customize
the medical form itself and the information provided to the user. Users
can ask LEAF to define medical terminology and to provide them with a list
of topics of interest to them. This list is customized to the user. LEAF is
part of a bigger project called PEAS
