    The Natural Language and Knowledge Representation Research Group (NLKRRG) of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a group of faculty and students who are investigating issues related to human-computer communication, with an emphasis on techniques drawn from natural language processing and knowledge representation. The NLKRRG is involved in a number of funded projects including

  • research on robust communication and the detection and repair of communication errors;

  • research on the interaction between speech gaze and gesture in human-human communication;

  • research on the design and implementation of intelligent tutoring
    systems; and

  • research on tools for intelligent dialog systems, such as a for realizing natural language utterances in real-time.
